Flange alignment on straight pipe, spools, elbows and other configurations is critical to guarantee proper fit up on in the field. Universal flange alignment plates are available for a variety of different size diameter pipes (½” – 24”) and classes (150lb, 300lb, 450lb, 600lb, 900lb). A pair of dowel pins inserted into precision bores in the alignment plate provides correct clocking sequence for each flange.

Multiple diameter pipes in a single weldment poses a problem for hand fit up in keeping the centerline true, but using a modular fixture with adjustable pipe supports on a precision spine fixture takes all the guesswork out. To further simplifiy the process, a pair of flange alignment plates are used to keep the bolt hole pattern in each flange lined up with one another.
